Last weekend I went for a walk in the grounds of this old country house that's a stones throw from where I live. You can see more pictures that I took over on my flickr account but for the purposes of this post it's all about the details. I'm sure whoever I'm walking with gets royally annoyed at having to stop every two steps to look at this or that but it must be done. These are of the surface of a fallen tree. Part of the surface has been burnt at some point.
